  • Overview

    This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team that will provide scientific and operational support for a large portfolio of NIH-sponsored clinical trials and observational studies, primarily in the area of dental and craniofacial disorders. The Project Manager II will manage multiple clinical studies, act as a liaison to all parties involved in the conduct of the research, and provide guidance and direction to other members of the project team

    Responsibilities

    • Creating and monitoring study timelines and project plans
    • Assisting in the review and development of protocols, consent forms, manuals of procedures, and other study documents
    • Providing training for internal staff, clinical site personnel, and clinical monitors
    • Communicating with clinical site personnel about issues related to study implementation
    • Supporting and monitoring site reporting to the sponsor
    • Liaising with internal monitoring teams to collaboratively oversee clinical monitoring activities
    • Assisting with the development of quality management and progress reports
    • Ensuring that study websites and tracking systems contain current and accurate information
    • Ensuring that studies adhere to federal regulations

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in life science area, or public health
    • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical research experience, including experience in managing projects
    • Experience working on commercial clinical projects preferred
    • Understanding of protocol development and/or review
    • Knowledge of drug development processes and federal regulations
    • Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and strong computer skills
