  • Overview

    A Statistical Research Associate supports the Rho Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, and Data Management team members with documentation, organization, administration, and communication tasks.  A Statistical Research Associate may also work on special, non-recurring and ongoing projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Produce, store, and maintain unstructured metadata in analysis databases, including glossaries.
    • Produce, store, and maintain documentation of procedures relating to study tasks
    • Track and report the status of metadata and documentation
    • Check and validate SAS programs and study tables
    • Assist team members with the production of agendas, meeting minutes, presentations, scientific papers, and/or other written documentation
    • Provide QC support
    • Provide support with projects relating to FDA submissions
    • Assist with statistical analysis under the direct supervision of a biostatistician or senior biostatistician
    • Write, edit, and proofread internal and external correspondence and documents, including reports glossaries, and portions of SAPs
    • Assist with data management activities under the direct supervision of a clinical data manager. For example:
      • Maintain project or study websites

      • Complete other research, administrative, and writing tasks as assigned

      • Assist with all phases of study (including study setup, testing and system validation, database review/maintenance, and study closure)

      • Outline electronic validation checks

      • Process queries

      • Assist with programming and validation of SAS programs related to data validation/review

      • Complete other research, administrative, and writing tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics
    • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Acrobat, SAS software
    • Strong Internet research skills, HTML experience and programming background is preferred
    • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and the ability to review work product
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must have effective oral and written communication skills
    • Must be a team player with integrity, a commitment to quality, and the ability to think critically and creatively
    • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities as necessary
