  • Overview

    The Business Development Associate will support the Business Development team in their efforts to achieve territory and corporate sales goals as well as assist in creating and executing a successful sales strategy. The ideal candidate will be adept at client-specific research and will provide active support in generating business leads. The Business Development Associate will have direct interaction with clients and support various initiatives for our fast-paced Business Development team.


    • Perform outreach (phone, mail, email) to potential leads to generate interest in Rho’s services with provided text and scripts
    • Participate in lead generation activities (e.g., research perspective company pipelines and press releases)
    • Schedule telephone, face-to-face, and web meeting appointments for Rho business development professionals
    • Ensure a high level of communication and customer service
    • Attend industry specific trade shows, conferences and business development meetings; participate in local and regional industry specific networking groups as needed
    • Enter, update and maintain accurate data within Salesforce.com
    • Support day-to-day sales and marketing activities
    • Work with sales representatives to execute territory plans
    • Assist with proposal activities; ensure timely responses and follow-up to both internal and external clients
    • Implement marketing initiatives, including actively seeking new ways to further Rho’s brand


    • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience
    • Experience conducting market research and/or internet research projects is preferred
    • Proficient skills in Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, including the ability to format documents and create document templates
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities, often under tight deadlines
    • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of stakeholders both inside and outside the organization
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Independent, self-motivated and success driven
    • Strong team player with a willingness to learn new things and problem solve
    • Ability to travel as needed
